What is true intelligence? What is true wisdom? In Acts 17 Paul engages the philosophers of Athens, the intellectual center of the ancient world. Paul's sermon before the Areopagus is well known and well studied. While this sermon is an example of how the gospel engages the pagan world, it is also an example of how human wisdom can set itself over the wisdom of God. Paul's message to the Athenians has a lot to teach us about some of the same struggles believers face today. In the end, are you building your life on the wisdom of God, or the wisdom of man?
