How does a love for God directly impact our love for others? Augustine, the famous 4th century theologian saw virtue as rightly ordered love. When a person gives their ultimate love to God it will directly benefit the love they are able to give to others. Chapter 3 of the book of Ruth is the climactic turning point in the story and a vivid picture of rightly ordered love. What might it look like to have rightly ordered love today, and what difference would it make in our own relationships and the experience of God's redemption?
