Sometimes the greatest things in life come as a complete surprise.  This was true with the resurrection.  No one expected that Jesus would rise from the dead.  And yet, this was God's plan all along.  This week we observe the first discovery of the empty tomb, how that impacted the followers of Jesus, and how one by one they began to encounter and believe in the resurrected Christ. The resurrection of Jesus has tremendous theological implications, as it seals his victory over satan, sin & death.  It also has practicial implications, demonstrating for us where our hope should lie and the result of placing our hope ultimately in God.
