In today's text we see a dramatic contrast between Jesus and Peter. While Jesus faces his questioners, denying nothing, Peter faces his questioners and denies everything. Peter's denial has served as a strong reminder that anyone can fall in to temptation when they least expect it and find themselves in places they never thought they would go. It also shows us that even in the midst of Peter's failure, Jesus was still there. As we continue our series through to the cross, we all must come to terms like Peter did, that we need Jesus more than Jesus needs us. And while sin and failure can be embarassing, it is not beyond Jesus to use these exact moments in our lives to be the very thing that shapes us for the better.
